This is such an honest but uplifting piece! Family who love us, honesty with our emotions, walking in nature, kind-hearted people, and good food can fix almost any horrible Monday! Something I always remind myself even on my good Mondays is that I always have the power to make someone else’s shitty day better, just as the salesman did for you.
Thank you, for reading and your kind comment. Kindness is often free so if you can use it for the benefit of others, why wouldn't you? Plus it feels good too!
Thank you for sharing your story, Mark! That was really a tough situation, but I admire how you handled it and shared the lessons you learned from this experience. I agree with your point that it's okay to show our emotions and vulnerability. This is an important message, especially for guys... Cultural expectations on what "real men" should act like can often be unhealthy :(
Thanks for reading and commenting Alea, I was never quite "toxic masculinity" but definitely thought I had to be more emotional robot than admit I actually had feelings. Writing about those feelings is helping in lots of ways.
Hey you're only human, and that car was your baby, may it rest in pieces 💕. Thank you for sharing this touching personal story. Glad it all worked out! I keep telling myself that whatever is happening "its for the best". Try this positive affirmation:"Everything is always working out perfectly for me, and it's working out for my highest good right now!"
What a great read. I hat to laugh at the “where manly men go to solve their problems” part. You’re from the U.K. right? Is that culture still going strong? I haven’t been back for a while
Yes, the North East of England. It's still alive and (in)well, though I think pubs are less full due to the cost of living. I don't drink so I tend to only venture in for food nowadays.
I like the ones with open fires that you're allowed to bring your dogs in, where there's a regular who sits in the corner and if you buy him a drink, he'll tell you about his life. I think those type of pubs are less common with the rise of chains. You can still find them in the country though.
Yes, perhaps I didn't even realise that as a benefit of revealing my feelings at the time but I'm happy that one worked out! Thanks for reading Mayank.

Thank you for sharing Mark, I find your writing style very captivating and the unique blend of images as well definitely enhances your storytelling!
Thanks for reading Malick, I appreciate it

I'll try it next time!
Poor thing will be in pieces now 😭

Nice to hear that they are still going strong. Even if you don’t drink I loved visiting some of those ancient places. That’s culture 😉

You also asked for the car on low price, created an opportunity yourself, another lesson.
