I struggle with making poems too 🥲 I remember how much of a nightmare it was for me when we had to make them for our literature class!

But when I was actually able to create my own poems, it felt so satisfying and fulfilling ✨ I don't know how I was able to come up with them 😆 but it was a good exercise for me to go out of my comfort zone and be more creative with how to express my ideas 💭

There's definitely something about getting out of your comfort zone that helps with creativity. Thanks for reading 😃

Both poems show that you're fully feeling your surroundings. Especially, you've given me a new perspective towards the things I hate. Lovely, Mark.

"Winter in England wears a face of muted grey, /

a monotony rarely broken, /

unlike today, a rare rebellion."

Beautiful, Mark. I'm glad you're trying out new genres and stepping outside of your "boxes". Could these have been Self-limiting-beliefs? :)

Also, I'm seeing you so much in the notes, and with Moon Arica as well, I'm glad of that random Nokia phone post I did! hahha it really warms my heart that it contributed to you and your poetic endeavors. It's really the wings of the butterfly kind of thing isn't it??? A butterfly flying... changes something that will change the other side of the world, a bit like this too!

Thank you Chiquita, that means a lot. Self limiting beliefs for sure. I feel like things may have gone full circle several times and I love how easy it is to make meaningful connections on Substack and how inspiring it is to have people who "speak my language" as so many people here do.

Long may it continue!
