The extended metaphor of a military operation really did make this feel like an adventure. 😂

As you said, the way you frame experiences can completely change them where even the simplest things can mean a lot. It's almost like you gamified the journey, the process, and there's a happy ending from the trip!

We also pretend to be spies when we go shopping, any security guards must be laughing their socks off if they are watching us 🤣

Lots of good points here. I think the problem in Fort Neaf is that the tip behind Tesco is not as user friendly as it used to be. Successive Tory governments have gone to war against local authorities leading to the public squalor and private affluence that is so depressing today.

Local Authorities are really struggling, no money for basic public services, yet upping council tax doesn't seem to be an option or they lose the public vote.
